Saturday and Sunday morning will bring a choice of flavour-packed Fettle Favourites like loaded corn and manchego fritters or Asian-inspired chilli prawn scrambles alongside one and a half hours of bottomless mimosas, Aperol spritzes and boozy iced teas (with non-alcoholic and kid’s options also available). Or you can book in for lunch when sister restaurant Dolly takes over the kitchen for an epic set menu feast including smoked kingfish with betel leaf, green mango and crispy garlic, delectable Sichuan eggplant and fragrant fish curry with sand whiting and coastal greens.

If your mum would prefer to celebrate at home, you can make sure that it’s still a day to remember with a very special Mother’s Day cake. The exquisite heart-shaped cake includes rich vanilla bean buttercream and mixed berry jam squeezed between three layers of delicate vanilla bean sable, and is topped with a pastel wonderland of macarons, meringues, fresh strawberries and violet flowers. Each cake feeds 4-6, and pre-orders must be in by May 11 for pick-ups on Sunday morning.

The mimosas will be flowing all day at Republic, where a special Mother’s Day menu has something for everyone. Simply book a table in the light-filled dining room then choose between modern classics including Spencer Gulf king prawn cutlets with Mari Rose sauce, saltbush lamb shoulder with caramelised pumpkin, hummus and lemon or braised pork ragu fettuccini with a rich tomato-based sauce of new season garlic, red wine and thyme.

Or you could have a special night out with a memorable activity by signing your mum up for a one-off Paint & Sip experience taking place on Tuesday May 9. Enjoy a glass of bubbles from Rosevale Vineyards on arrival and tuck into a delicious grazing platter, then indulge your creative side as local artist Greer Tappert teaches you how to create your own version of Monet’s famous water lilies.

Head to The Maid on Mother’s Day and you won’t just be enjoying bubbles in the morning – buy a glass of Moet and you’ll go in the draw to win a magnum to take home as well. Then sit down and enjoy a menu of pub classics for lunch or dinner, with the added option to head outside if the sun is shining.
